Fujairah Martial Arts Club’s young swimmers have made a remarkable splash at the Emirates Swimming Cup Championship

The Fujairah Martial Arts Club’s young swimmers have made a remarkable splash at the Emirates Swimming Cup Championship, securing 62 medals and clinching the top spot in the under-10 category, along with a commendable second place in the overall competition. Their impressive medal haul includes 29 golds, 23 silvers, and 10 bronzes.

A standout moment in this championship was Ali Al Dhanhani’s outstanding performance. Representing the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, Ali shattered a long-standing state record, one that had remained unbroken for two decades, dating back to 2002. His remarkable feat came in the 200-meter freestyle race, where he bested the previous record of 2 minutes, 49.28 seconds, held by Ahmed Ali Abdullah Al-Hosani. Ali Al Dhanhani set a new record of 2 minutes and 44.65 seconds, earning both himself and the Fujairah Martial Arts Club the prestigious Best Time Cup in the under-10 category.

This accomplishment is a testament to the team’s dedication and rigorous training. The team expressed their gratitude by dedicating this achievement to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, who serves as both an inspiration and the president of the club.

Mr. Nad Abu Shawish commended the team’s remarkable achievement and praised the club’s management. He emphasized the team’s exceptional competitive spirit and their readiness to establish themselves as one of the top-performing teams of the season.

The tournament took place at the Mohammed bin Zayed Swimming Pool in Abu Dhabi over the weekend of October 7th and 8th, attracting participation from various clubs across the country.
