FMAC set a new Guinness World Record

Fujairah Martial Arts Club (FMAC) set a new Guinness World Record for the largest Taekwondo training class on January 30th, 2024. The class had 302 participants, breaking the previous record of 250 set by the Taizhou Chenyi Sports Development Club in China in 2021.

Taekwondo is a traditional martial art that originated in Korea over 2,000 years ago. It is a kicking-based martial art, but it also uses punches to some extent. Taekwondo is an official Olympic sport.

The attempt to break the record was attended by participants of all ages, including Olympic athletes. The Fujairah Martial Arts Club is committed to promoting sports culture and raising awareness about it.
