Fujcon 2023 to start March 13th
The Organising Committee of the 13th Fujairah International Bunkering & Fuel Oil Forum (Fujcon 2023) announced that the forum will be held from 13th to 15th March under the slogan “The Maritime Energy Transition & Future Fuels” at the Novotel Hotel in Fujairah.
The forum comes under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, and in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, and His Highness Sheikh Saleh bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Department of Industry & Economy and President of Port of Fujairah.
Fujcon 2023 is organised by the Government of Fujairah, represented by the Department of Industry and Economy, and the Port of Fujairah, in cooperation with the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ) and S&P Global Commodity Insights.
Fujcon 2023 is supported by the most influential pioneers, spokespersons, and heads of oil and bunker companies. This is because the Emirate of Fujairah will witness the launch of new storage projects this year, with a current storage capacity of 11.1 million cubic meters. This is after it achieved a record number of oil handlings in 2022. The investment will enhance the position of the leading emirate as one of the most extensive storage, trade, and bunkering centers in the Middle East. This is because it saw nearly 13,000 ships docked in the Fujairah Marina in 2022
The port of Dibba will operate the planned expansion of the dry docks in order to facilitate export operations. This will add 18 million tons of handling capacity to the facility. The Etihad Train project will complete the process of linking it to the port of Fujairah. This will facilitate the transportation of general goods and containers from the emirate to other major economic zones in the country—the UAE.
His Excellency Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, will deliver the official speech at Fujcon 2023. While prominent thought leaders will also give lectures on the state of the industry.
