The Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards ranked Dubai as the most popular destination in the world for the second consecutive year.
For the 2023 awards, winners were selected by Tripadvisor based on the quality and quantity of reviews and ratings given on Tripadvisor for accommodations, restaurants, and things to do in destinations worldwide between November 2021 and October 2022 in several award subcategories.
According to Tripadvisor, Dubai is No. 1 destination and a favourite of celebs and influencers and attracts tourists from all over the world seeking out their own taste of luxury.
Known for its unique blend of modern culture, history, adventure, world-class shopping, and entertainment, the city earned the top spot.
Because it is voted for by actual travellers who like to fly into the buzzing city, it is a valuable accolade for Dubai to receive.
As for the destinations hot on the heels of Dubai, Bali scooped second place followed by the British capital, London, being awarded bronze by travellers.
