Fujairah Grand Sumobot Championship Concludes Its Third Edition with Outstanding Student Participation


The Fujairah Scientific Club concluded on Wednesday 28th January morning the competitions of the third edition of the Fujairah Grand Sumobot Championship, which was held at Fujairah Mall, with wide participation from school teams and a distinguished presence of the public and representatives of government entities. The event took place in an enthusiastic and competitive atmosphere that reflected an advanced level of students’ skills in robotics and programming.
The championship witnessed the qualification of several teams to the final rounds, where strong and competitive performances were presented. The results saw Fujairah Islamic Scientific Academy claim first place, thanks to its excellence in robot programming, precision in design, and strong overall performance.
Umm Al-Mu’minin School secured second place, while Emirates Private School came in third.
At the conclusion of the championship, H.E. Dr. Saif Al Me’aili, Director of the Fujairah Scientific Club, crowned the winning teams, praising the high technical standards and the strong spirit of sportsmanship demonstrated by all participating teams throughout the competition. He noted that these values contributed to promoting fair play and mutual respect among competitors.
H.E. Dr. Saif Al Me’aili emphasized that organizing the championship is part of the club’s ongoing efforts to support gifted students, develop their skills in robotics and programming, and promote a culture of innovation. He also highlighted the importance of investing in modern technologies to create smart solutions that serve the future, in line with the rapid advancements in the field of technology.
