World Food Day 2022 raise awareness

World Food Day 2022 is an international day celebrated every year worldwide on 16th October to commemorate the date of the founding of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization in 1945. World Food Day aims to promote healthy diets and eradicate hunger issues by 2030. This year’s theme is “Safe Food Today for a Healthy Tomorrow.”

The purpose of World Food Day 2022 is to raise awareness about the need for more efficient, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable agri-food systems. As a result, it calls for action across sectors to ensure that our agri-food system can provide enough affordable, nutritious, and safe food for everyone. The world needs to change policies, mindsets, behaviors, and business models in order to achieve this transformation.

2022 finds us with an ongoing pandemic, conflict, a climate that won’t stop warming, rising prices and international tensions. This is affecting global food security.

We need to build a sustainable world where everyone, everywhere has regular access to enough nutritious food.

No one should be left behind.
