Crown Prince of Fujairah Opens 12th Edition of “Platform 09,” Emphasises Support for Entrepreneurship and Creative Industries
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, stressed the importance of supporting entrepreneurial projects, enabling high-quality initiatives, and expanding opportunities for innovators and entrepreneurs to enhance the competitiveness of creative sectors and support economic development in the emirate.
This came during His Highness’s opening of the twelfth edition of the “Platform 09” exhibition, held under the slogan “Shine” in the Al Rumailah neighbourhood in Fujairah. The exhibition is organised under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Shamsa bint Hamad Al Sharqi, daughter of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah.
The opening ceremony was attended by Sheikh Dr. Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority; Sheikh Maktoum bin Hamad Al Sharqi; Sheikh Saif bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Free Zone Authority; and Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi.
His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah highlighted the keen interest of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Al Sharqi in supporting creative and purposeful projects across the emirate, with the aim of strengthening the competitiveness of the creative industries and entrepreneurship sector at both national and global levels.
During his tour of the exhibition, His Highness viewed nine unique interactive experiences designed to encourage participants and visitors to ask questions, spark curiosity, and transform ideas into tangible outcomes. His Highness emphasised that “excellence is not merely an outward appearance or a moment of celebration, but rather clarity of vision, courageous decision-making, and the ability to turn dreams into reality.”
This year’s edition of the exhibition highlights women and entrepreneurs who pursue bold, purpose-driven visions. “Platform 09” offers a stimulating experience that enables visitors to challenge their limits, discover their true potential, and engage with their ideas to redefine success on their own terms.
The exhibition runs until 2nd February and features a range of creative and inspiring spaces for talented individuals and entrepreneurs, including workshops, interactive lectures, and dialogue sessions, contributing to an enriching experience of discovery, enjoyment, and knowledge for visitors.
The opening was also attended by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah; His Excellency Hamdan Karam, Director of the Private Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah; and a number of officials from entities and institutions supporting creativity and entrepreneurship in Fujairah.
