UAE Pro League Continues its Arabian Gulf League Promotional Campaign

The UAE Pro League continued its efforts to launch a package of promotional and marketing campaign since the start of the 2019-20 season which saw the launch of the new UAEPL identity as well as several new projects aimed at creating substantial growth in the promotion of the Pro League competitions.

Since November 2019, the UAEPL had designated Match of The Week; the highlight of each matchweek’s fixtures, a dedicated festival with a fan zone featuring multiple sporting, educational and entertaining activities. The fan zone showcases information about the clubs, players, stadiums, interactive activities, competitions and sport games for all age groups under the motto “One League, One Passion, One Community”. And that is not all; the Pro League is offering instant prizes for winners at half-time raffle draws across all matches.

A total of 30 Audi A3 cars have also been allocated to lucky winners; the first of which was awarded at the Arabian Gulf Super Cup, while one was drawn at the Arabian Gulf Cup final and the remaining 28 distributed in Arabian Gulf League matches, with the raffle being drawn amongst online ticket buyers. Since the start of the campaign, a total of 12 cars have been won, while matchweek 17 of the league will see two more cars on offer at Hatta v Al Ain and Fujairah v Ittihad Kalba matches.

The Pro League’s ambitious plans are not limited to the stadiums, but continue on non-match days as well, with the “UAEPL Arena”; a mobile roadshow with a variety of football-based challenges in which participants can test their shot power and accuracy as well as hand-eye coordination and close control of the ball in addition to a range of online games. Additionally, a dedicated space allows fans to compete in head-to-head competitions to showcase their skills.

The “UAEPL Arena” was present at the official 48th UAE national day celebrations, Yas Mall, Al Hudairiyat Island, Al Jimi Mall, Abu Dhabi World Trade Centre, Resolution Festival, Reem Central Park, GEMS Winchester Fujairah School, Bawadi Mall, Al Ain Mall, Wafi Mall and will head to Khalidiyah Mall on 27 – 29 February.

The Pro League continues its efforts to promote its competitions to students, offering them the opportunity to be part of the Arabian Gulf League’s action through a series of mobile roadshows in schools and universities across the UAE.

As part of its drive targeting citizens, residents and visitors alike, the Pro League will continue to organize roadshows at residential complexes, hotels, companies and food and beverage outlets to reach a total of 60 sites across 160 action-packed days.

Commenting on the initiatives, UAE Pro League CEO Waleed Al Hosani explained, “in organizing these various campaigns in stadiums and beyond, we aim to attract fans from different nationalities and age groups including citizens, residents and visitors, to promote awareness about our competitions and reach the largest number of new football fans and create a sense of loyalty between them and the Arabian Gulf League clubs.”

Al Hosani added that: “the Pro League aims to interact with all walks of society and engage them as part of the UAE football family, in addition to making the matchday experience a fun family day out, in which they can enjoy the fan zone at match of the week, which starts two hours before kick-off and continues after the final whistle.”
